You are possibly looking at one of the best and last well engineered cars produced by Mercedes, a sentiment which I feel, would probably be endorsed by any knowledgeable motoring critic. When this car came off the production line,other manufacturers aspired to emulate this car, but failed.The desire to own one was phenomenal, hence it became transport for the wealthy middle eastern moguls, presidents and directors of large plc groups ect—. Sadly, from then on, Mercedes build quality gradually deteriorated !!!!

The “S Class” was produced in three formats – the S 280, the S 320 and the S 500. Some of you will be aware that the S 280 was very underpowered for this body, which meant that it was in fact, less economical. The S 500 is the most desirable as it glides along effortlessly and the later 5 Speed gearbox is a must.If you are thinking about owning one, the last of this model – ie – 1998 is the one recommended. Pre 1995 models not desired !!!

The car on offer is in Aquamarine blue metallic with full blue leather interior.Condition can only be described as magnificent but obviously not new. The bodywork is gleaming and almost unmarked, no dents, scrapes , damaged bumpers and no rust to be found anywhere , resembles a two year old car.Interior equally as good, leather excellent, rear seats dont seem to have had much use, velour carpets covered from new, hence unmarked.

I have driven the car for some seventy miles. Engine very quiet, good oil pressure,gearbox changes very smoothly,brakes very efficient.The car feels like a two year old car and is a total pleasure to drive.

The car has a complete service history, nine stamps in the service book, last serviced at 100k in August 2008 I also have a folder with bills and receipts, old M.O.T emissions tests ect dating back to 2004.Therefore a well cared for car !!
